James is Head of Operations and Training at the National Association of School-Based Teacher Trainers (NASBTT). Passionate about trying to raise professionalism within the teaching profession and ensuring that teachers are held with the respect they deserve within society, James trained to teach at the Institute of Education and spent the majority of his teaching career in London, leading the development of the foundation subject curriculum and assessment.

He also worked with numerous SCITT providers across London, before moving to Hampshire and being appointed SCITT Director for a primary provider. Here he spent three years delivering the most effective and engaging training as possible, with a focus on delivering teachers who are resilient, confident and prepared for a long and successful career within education.
