Chris Mills is a Communications and Engagement lead in the Maximising Value for Pupils Programme team at Department for Education (DfE). 

Chris joined the DfE team in 2016, drafting in partnership with the sector the published School Resource Management Strategy: Building a Stronger System in 2022 and now supporting the delivery of the new Maximising Value for Pupils Programme, which was launched in 2025.

Prior to this Chris worked in the apprenticeship team at the Department for Education, leading on the policy for the Traineeship programme which supported young people and adults into employment or further education.
